Marade Celebration at The Center
Monday, January 21 | 10:30am-12pm
The Center (1301 E. Colfax Ave, Denver)
The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of Colorado is proud to show support for those marching in the Marade honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the fight for civil rights!
Want to participate in the Marade, but unable to march?
The Center, located at 1301 E Colfax Ave., corner or Colfax & Lafayette, is located directly on the route and will host a gathering of individuals to watch from our rooftop and from our window facing out onto Colfax.
• Both indoor and outdoor viewing available
• Accessible for those with wheelchairs or strollers
• Screening of the film “Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin” often called ‘the unknown hero’ of the civil rights movement. He was the architect of the 1963 March on Washington, who dared to live as an openly gay man during the fiercely homophobic 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
• Coffee and snacks provided
